Newark and Elston, Nottinghamshire

After a drive ‘up north’ our first stop was for breakfast at the OK Diner – they do a great vegetarian breakfast.

We then headed into Newark on Trent itself to complete a few caches which ‘The Man’ had earmarked. These were found relatively easily despite the rain and cold 🥶.

It was great walking alongside the river, but incredibly muddy – I did spot this rather creative sign however which made me chuckle.

After a quick walk to the castle (where ‘The Man’ played with some leaves…

…we then completed a few more puzzle caches before driving the short distance to the village of Elston to complete a circuit of various cache types – all of which we successfully found.
